A kitesurf bag is used to transport and protect a riders board, kites, bar and lines when they are not in use. Moving all that equipment around can be difficult without a proper bag, there are a lot of lines and typically a couple of kites that have to transported along with the board and control bar. Without an adequately sized and shaped bag it can be incredibly difficult, even impossible task to accomplish.

A kitesurf bag has plenty of room for a board and usually at least two or three kites, along with all the necessary lines. Added protection on the bag at the tip and tail prevents unwanted abrasions and can extend the life of the equipment inside. A sturdy strap, wheels or backpack straps makes moving all this often heavy equipment easy even over long distance.

A kitesurf bag not only aids in the transportation of the bag, but also protects the equipment from sun and sand damage when it is not in use. UV rays can damage lines and kite material nearly as quickly as abrasive sand and salt. Keeping the equipment clean often requires a freshwater bath before storage in a bag, a practice every rider should get into the habit of doing every time they ride.
